Background and Objectives
Japan-Vietnam Workshop on Software Engineering 2007 (JVSE?07) is the continuation of the successful JVSE?06. JVSE is a joint workshop on software engineering, through which the recently progressive R&D collaboration between Japan and Viet Nam will be further strengthened.
This workshop is aimed at gathering together computer scientists, engineers, practitioners and students in the fields of software engineering in order to exchange experiences. In particular, this workshop is to foster the research collaboration and talent recruitment between Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) with its Vietnamese partners including Institute of Information Technology (IOIT) - Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and College of Technology (Coltech) - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). This year, JVSE?07 welcomes the participation of Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE). Like JVSE?06, the main theme of JVSE?07 will be ?Verifiable and Evolvable e-Society? taken from a special government-funded COE (Center of Excellence) currently carried out by School of Information Science, JAIST.
The workshop is only about aspects of Software Engineering. The topics hence include the following categories but are not limited to those:
? Software testing and verification
? Formal methods
? Software metrics and measurement
? Software process improvement
? Real-time and faul-tolerant software
There will be some invited talks by leading professors in the fields from JAIST and Vietnamese institutions.
Submissions to the workshop must not have been published or be concurrently considered for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be judged on the basis of originality, contribution to the field, technical and presentation quality, and relevance to the workshop. Papers should be written in English and not exceed 10 pages in LNCS format (see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html for details). The final proceedings will be published as a technical report by VNU Press.
Full papers should be electronically submitted to the Organizing Committee via email address (to be provided). Papers will be evaluated by the Program Committee according to their originality, significance, soundness, quality of presentation and relevance with respect to the main issues of the workshop.
